ACK Presents $300k Cheque to The Children’s at FUNDAY 2023

Year after year the Buckster community blows us away with your commitment to giving, and the spirit of FUN you bring to every ACK event. And this year was no exception. July 15th saw us come together for the 26th annual FUNDAY golf tournament and banquet, celebrating the theme Midnight in Paris.

The sunny weather made Saturday’s on-course activities more enjoyable than ever, with thirsty golfers enjoying beer from Le Castor and Cider from Ciderie de Minot, to wash down the smoked meat, hot dogs, tofu, and snacks served up by 20 of our fantastic volunteers. Epic Tofu graciously provided the tofu, with bread and pickles for the smoked meat provided by Snowdon Deli.

The evening banquet began with a cocktail party, with our 170 partygoers dressed in their best Parisienne attire. Internationally renowned artist Eric Waugh joined us for a live painting exhibition, with one lucky attendee taking home the canvas as part of the auction. Dinner of shrimp and steak was enjoyed, followed by an evening of dancing and high jinks led by the Freddie James band and DJ Puppa Sacha until 2:00 am.

The day’s event raised $300,000 for the Montreal Children’s Hospital bringing our total of the years to almost $6,000,000. This is only possible due to your generous support. We are so grateful for everyone who participated – golfers, dinner guests, volunteers, sponsors, and all of you who donated.
